Dog Parks in North Austin

When we became a puppy parents, I wanted to make sure they had lots of exercise. It was difficult to find places in North Austin at first because I didn't know where to start. I mainly found these parks just by word-of-mouth from dog parents at the park. Here are my top favorite dog parks in North Austin (In no specific order).

Walnut Creek - Arya showing Cal the ropes. This was his first park!

Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park - The trails are awesome and the creeks are amazing (especially a few days after the rain), and did I mention that it's an OFF LEASH park? Arya LOVES coming here to swim and she even attempts to catch the fish! Please be sure that your dog is really good at their recalls before taking them to an off leash park. Address: 12138 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78753. Price: FREE.

Northtown Dog Park - This is a nice little neighborhood dog park. The pups have so much fun here meeting new friends. They have ramps and a water fountain outside the gate. There’s also a community Facebook group - Join it! They usually give updates on who will be there and if the dog park is dead or poppin’. Bonus - they have an awesome disc golf course! Address:14508 Harris Ridge Blvd Pflugerville, TX 78660.Price: FREE.

Dog Depot Dog Park - This park was recommended to me by one of my clients from Rover.com and we absolutely love coming here. Dogs are ALWAYS here. They have a few watering holes, a tunnel, a kiddy tub, and plenty of space for the puppy parents to sit! Tip: Be sure to bring insect repellent, there's a lot of mosquitoes out there. Sorry, I couldn't find a picture for this place, but definitely check it out!  Address:800 Deerfoot Drive, Round Rock, TX 78664. Price: FREE.

Cedar Bark Park - Cal sniffin' around.

Cedar Bark Park - This park is a little far from where I live, but I really enjoy coming here every now and then. They have a showering station at the entrance, lots of space for your pups to run, AND a huge pond the dogs can swim in (not to mention a deck they could jump off of).  Address: Veterans Memorial Park at 2525 W. New Hope Drive, Cedar Park, TX  78613. Price: FREE.'

Yard Bar - scoping out the place. Dog watching.

Yard Bar - What a cool dog park! They have a bar with alcoholic beverages AND they serve food. Food/snacks are not allowed in the dog park itself, there is an area outside the dog park where you could eat. But drinks are definitely allowed, and they have a bar inside the park 🙂 This place has plenty of room to sit, activities for the pups, and there are always other dogs here! Should I mention that there is also wi-fi?! My husband and I hung out for hours working while our pups played. There is also a person that fills the water bowls and breaks up/diffuses any situation with the dogs. HIGHLY recommend coming here. Address: 6700 Burnet RoadPrice: $5.00 each dog/day, membership included (check out website for more details.)

I hope you and your furry babies enjoy this as much as we do!
